American Trucking Associations (ATA) announced Friday its renewal of HELP Inc.’s PrePass services as an Endorsed ATA Featured Product, further strengthening the partnership between the two groups. In addition, HELP Inc. has again been named an ATA Corporate Partner.
“HELP Inc. and its innovative PrePass services are an outstanding example of the value created by effective public-private partnerships,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “This sort of strategic collaboration strengthens our industry by improving safety, reducing emissions and preserving infrastructure.”
More than a half million commercial vehicles from qualified fleets are electronically pre-screened for compliance with federal and state safety and credential requirements through PrePass. Electronic pre-screening allows customers to stay on the road and bypass PrePass-equipped inspection facilities at highway speeds, helping fleets save time, fuel and money while improving transportation safety.
“Since HELP began compiling data in 1997, our PrePass service has provided more than 732 million successful bypasses, or green lights, to qualified motor carriers,” said HELP President and CEO Karen Rasmussen. “PrePass has saved carriers more than 61 million man-hours and 294 million gallons of fuel in that period of time, adding up to operational cost savings of over $5.4 billion.”
“PrePass offers the nation’s only complete service for weigh station bypass, electronic toll payment and safety data management,” she said. “HELP’s technology leadership and the unmatched accuracy of its PrePass service are testament to why we have again been named both an Endorsed ATA Featured Product and an ATA Corporate Partner.”
